Bipolar motors offer increased torque compared to unipolar motors. Special power-up sequencing is not required.
The a39677 select MS1 and MS2 pins of the A are broken out allowing adjustments to the microstepping resolution. If this is not aklegro local representative, find your local sales rep here.
Internal circuit protection includes thermal shutdown with hysteresis, under-voltage lockout UVLO and crossover-current protection. The ASLB is a complete microstepping motor driver with built-in translator. The EasyDriver requires a 6V to 30V supply to power the motor and can power any voltage of stepper motor. A and B are the two coils of the motor, and can swap the two wires for a given coil it will a33967 reverse the direction of the motor.
The tabs are at ground potential and need no insulation. This current-decay control scheme results in reduced audible motor noise, increased step accuracy, and reduced power dissipation. This is the power input to the Easy Driver. This should be a 6V to 30V, 2A or more power supply that is clean low ripple.
This needs to be a 0V to 5V or 0V to 3. This one is complicated – please see the datasheet for more information. The sleep and enable pins are also broken out allegeo further control. This normally high input signal will minimize power consumption by disabling internal circuitry and the output drivers when pulled low.
You can also connect 5,6 or 8 wire unipolar motors and connect them as bipolar motors by not connecting the common lead s. Connect this to the positive power supply lead.

The EasyDriver has an on board voltage regulator a396 the digital interface that can be set to 5V or 3. We’ll notify you when there are updates to this product. They will not have as much torque as bipolar motors due to thinner wire with a higher electrical resistance used in the coils bifilar windings. Flyback diodes are required to prevent voltage spikes when the power to the coil is turned off and the stepper motor acts like a generator briefly back-emf.
We default it to slow decay mode, but you can override with your own voltage on this pin. EasyDriver drives bi-polar motors, and motors wired as bi-polar i. There are no phase-sequence tables, high-frequency control lines, or complex interfaces to program.
See below diagrams for how to hook these up. The ASLB includes a fixed off-time current regulator that has the ability to operate in slow, fast, or mixed current-decay modes.
